· Important Magnet Information: Attention 6th and 7th grade Magnet students! The Pink forms that you received in Advisory Class yesterday needs to be signed by your parent and returned to the Main Office by Friday. Students who do not return their form may not be able to return to League for the 2009/10 school year. Be sure to return your form promptly!
· Basketball Season: The basketball season opens on Monday December 8th League will play @ Sevier Middle. Girls start at 5:30 and Boys follow immediately. Come out and support the players. Directions to Sevier are on the Athletics page on the League webpage.
· Cup Cakes for Sale: Mrs. Norwood’s Life skills classes will be selling Cup Cakes next week at the lunch shifts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; proceeds of the sales go to the League Santa Fund. Kids can get a Tasty Treat while helping out a good cause.
· Yearbooks: It’s time to order yearbooks. Order by phone, mail, or online. Just click the link on the League Webpage. If you have questions see Mrs. Blankenship in room 811.
· League Sweatshirts and Shirts: League Bulldog sweatshirts, t-shirts (long and short sleeved) can still be purchased through the end of this week with the Physical Education Department. These shirts have a neat red and black Bulldog with League on the front. Hooded Sweatshirts are $25, long sleeved t-shirts are $15, and short-sleeved t-shirts are $10. Get your orders to Ms. Monroe in the gym by Friday December 5 to have these items by Christmas.
· School Dance: The next school dance is Today from 3:30 to 5:30; students’ rides should arrive by 5:30 to pick them up.
· Strings Concert: Come enjoy an evening of beautiful Strings music on Tuesday December 9th as Mrs. Crowe’s Strings Classes perform. The concert begins at 7:00 PM!
· Band Concert: Come enjoy an evening of music on Thursday December 11th as Mr. Ladd’s Band Classes perform. The concert begins at 7:00 PM!
· Fine Arts Center Visitation: Anyone interested in visiting the Fine Arts Center on December 12th; see Mrs. Mitchell in Guidance; all applications must be in by December 5th..
· Chick-fil-A Biscuits: Every Friday biscuits are sold in the car line by PTA. Thanks for your support.
· Anti-Drug Poster Contest: Congratulations to Ms. McCauley and her Art students who were honored yesterday for the winning entries for the Anti-Drug Poster contest. The following students are the winners: Madison P., Emma L., Olivia F., Clairee R., Rayne M., and Elise H. Way to Go!
· Greenville High Basketball Cheerleading: Tryouts are December 3rd through December 5th from 4 to 6:30 in the GHS Atrium. Contact BJ Stamps at (864) 355-5483 and you must have a Physical to try out.
· Sports Physicals! Reminder, any student wishing to tryout for any sport, must have a Physical completed and signed by the doctor and turned in to the coach prior to engaging in any tryouts. Physical forms can be obtained by going to the League website and clicking on the Athletics tab and printing a copy, picking up a copy in the front office, or students can pick a copy up from Mr. McCartney in room 316. Don’t wait till the last minute, get the physical done early! Spring Sports: any student planning to try out for Baseball, Softball, or Soccer should plan to have a physical done before the winter break in December. All physicals for Spring Sports may be turned in any time to Coach McCartney.
